Oblivion, it rocks...

Posted by iMini - February 11th, 2008

Sorry to point out the obvious, but I think that this game rocks.

I borrowed this game for a few weeks before, and I just didn't get into the game... I got up to the first Oblivion gate and I was just too scared to dare go into the portal, so I just hung around in Citadel City (?) and got my steal and other thieving skills to 99...

I started borrowing it again, and I must say that I'm really really enjoying it...

I always thought I was too weak a character, so I took on the arena, asking a friend if my character could do it, he always said "sure".

I tried the whole arena, and I won it all, it was so easy...

From the Arena, I started the Oblivion gate, and I found it incredibly easy, I have no idea why I was so scared to give it a shot.

I imagined the game as one where I would have to become an amazingly good character, or I would be torn to parts, this is not the case.

I felt proud of myself once I solved the the 4 commentaries, I struggled on it, I actually knew how to find the answer from the start, but I kept telling myself "That's too simple"...

I took the first letter of the first word of every paragraph and sorted them into "Green Emporer Way Where Tower Touches Mid Day Sun"

I figured out the riddle easily enough, first I had to find "Green Emporer Way", I figured out where it was from "Tower" I presumed it was the "White Gold Tower".

I then waited 'till mid day, and I lined up the sun and the tower to find a chamber with a "Map" on it.

That has so far been the most fun I had in the game, all of that riddling...

I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it.

Must play on it more often.

Have you played Fallout? Then obviously you do not know good RPGs. Bethesda turned Oblivion into sucks.

You obviously never played Oblivion...

yep oblivion sure does pwn. I borrowed it originally from my friend for 360 (before it fucked up and got RRoD) and didnt really get into it first time, second time, i couldnt stop playing the bastard! so addictive sometimes, got very far into the storyline and completed tons of side quests, then after my 360 died, i borrowed it from my friend for PS3 and although dispointed that i had to start again, it was still fucking fun XD
